Good luck...here we come!

It is benign! The lab results for Harley came back and his tumor is all gone and they removed all of it and it will NOT come back!!! We are so super excited and relieved about this! He still has to keep his bandage on and the stitches won't come out for another 1 1/2 weeks but he is such a trooper and we are so proud of him! Good boy Harley David! We love you!!!
Jase is so happy that his brother is getting all better!
This is Harley's "I knew I was fine all along" face :>

New Faucet!

Papa came over on Friday to install our new kitchen sink faucet! Jase helped him out a lot as he does anytime Papa comes over to do stuff! My dad did end up having to go get a longer piece of something for the sink so on his way home from Home Depot he also brought me Arby's! He also came home with a bunch more firewood for our fire....then he made a fire....then he finished up the sink....then he came downstairs and was going to fix my plug in heater because it kept shutting off on it's own-so he pulled out the vacuum to clean out the filter on the heater and decided to clean out the filters in the vacuum as well....then he fixed our broken front door dead bolt....then we hung out a while on the couch by the fire. He always comes to help out with one item and seems to find more things to fix. I personally love it! Thanks so much dad for all your hard work and willingness to help out on everything-especially the things I don't think of! I appreciate you more than you know!

Papa's little helper!
Old faucet: Ugly, white, rusty, short, leaky.

New faucet: Pretty, shiny, tall, leak-free! Much better!

Harley Barley!

Harley's surgery went well :> The Dr. said that it seems that he got most if not all of the tumor out though you can never be sure about those tiny microscopic pieces. They sent his results off to the lab and said that we should be getting a call on Saturday. Harley was sad when we got home and wouldn't sit still-I think that he had an upset tummy from the anesthetic but once daddy got home (he had to work late, again) he was finally able to settle down. He woke up at about 4am today and was circling the front room and kicking his leg. I think that he was panicking once all the pain meds wore off from yesterday and it scared him. We gave him some medicine and he laid down and fell asleep. He's been good since then. Brave little boy! I'm so proud of him!
....more to come on Saturday...hopefully it's good news :)

Mama's Big Brave Boy

Last night I noticed some blood on my carpet...in quite a few spots. I checked Harley's toe nails to see if maybe he stubbed his toe and it was bleeding but didn't see anything so I found his bone to see if maybe he just went crazy with it and his mouth was bleeding....nothing. So I cleaned up the spots and made Harley move a little so that I could get to a spot next to him. I then noticed that it was the bottom of his foot. There was a teeny ball there and it looked like he had picked at it and scratched part of it off and there was a hole in it-looked pretty deep and like it would need stitches :( I called the vet and said that it just didn't look right to me though he is not acting like it hurts. Matthew got home 5 minutes later and took him to the vet to have them fix him up. Boy am I glad that I talked Matthew into going. He called me 20 minutes later and the first thing he said was "it's not good, Hunna. It's not good at all". ;( Apparantly my puppy has a tumor on the bottom of his foot. The Dr. said that it is cancer but that there are several different types of cancer. They did some blood work and we will find out on Thursday if he can take the anesthetic for the surgery he will be having that day. Once they remove it (hopefully all of it) then they will send it to the lab to be analyzed. After a few days, probably Monday or Tuesday, we will find out if it was the type of cancer that just stays put and if we got it all (he might have to go back a few times to make sure they did) or if it is the type of cancer that can spread and in that case, would not be good. He said that this is super common in Boxers but from what he could see, he thinks that it is NOT the type that spreads. Let's hope that this is the case. They bandaged him up and so far he hasn't tried to take it off-but he does walk funny :>
Wish good thoughts for my puppy and I will keep you all updated as we find stuff out.

In Loving Memory

I believe this photo of Josh & Crystal was taken at the very beginning of 2000

9 years ago on January 20th, 2000 my 3 friends, Josh, Ben, Crystal and I were in a terrible accident and Josh & Crystal were killed. Ben was very badly hurt and I was ever so lucky to walk away with scrapes and bruises because of the way he protected me in the car when it was happening. I will forever be in debt to him. I will always remember my friends for the kind hearts that they had and the love that they shared with everyone around them. I will never forget them and the impact that they had on my life. I hadn't known Crystal for very long but Josh was one of my very best friends (he, Shaine, Guy and I did almost everything together) and I miss him all the time.
I just want you guys to know that I think of you often and hope that you are up there watching out for me. Love you guys and miss you to pieces!

Help please!

Matthew and I would like to try for another baby later on this year so we are looking to get some supplemental maternity/disability coverage. Currently the plan we are on has a $6500 deductible before they will pay 100%! AAAHHHH!! Any advice on what is out there is much appreciated :> (yes-we've looked into Aflac already) Thanks!

Aquarium

Since the boys are up at the cabin this weekend for football, Rella & I took the kids to the Aquarium yesterday! It was so much fun! Jase hadn't had a nap all day long and fell asleep on the way there but the second we got inside he was so excited and was running around to all the fish tanks looking inside! His favorite part was the open pool where you can touch the stingrays. Of course, he just wanted to splash in the water but that's okay :> When we got to the end, Jax & Joss got to get out of the stroller and the kids ran around for about 10 minutes! They were so cute! They would follow each other and then all 3 would spread out into different directions at the same time! It was hard to keep up with them but they had a lot of fun! Thanks for inviting us Aunty Rella! We can't wait to go again!

Why do I hear running water?

FYI-this has happened 3 times today and it is only 11am!! This pic was the first time. He has gone through 3 outfits so far-the last time-I just left him in it-his own fault! He had the sponge with him the first time, the second time he had a juice cup and was filling it and dumping it, and the third time he had 3 cups. Much funner that way! He is also getting his hands wet and rubbing his hair. He pushes the dining table chair over to the counter, climbs up and climbs in. I am SO sure!!! Silly boy! I offered to give him a bath but he wasn't interested. Oh well!

Memories!

I was talking to my mom today and she was telling me that she was going through photos of the past year on her computer to better organize them. I did this not too long ago too. It is so much fun to look back at the memories from the past few years and I wanted to share some with you!
6-5-05 This was taken at Hotel Monaco where we stayed on our Honeymoon night. Very pretty place-not the best room service sandwiches for a bride that didn't eat anything at her wedding!

2-14-04 I love this picture! We were so cute (and thin) back then! I do believe this was the beginnings of Matthew's mustache! He hated that every time I took our picture by myself, I would always cut the top of his head off! He's so tall-I couldn't help it!! I am much better now!
11/1/07 Sweet Blue-eyed Jasers! Doesn't he have the cutest smile! I just can't get enough of this little guy!
5/24/08 This was taken the day after Jase was born. This will always be one of my absolute favorite photos. I love the way they are just staring at each other. I hope that they can always be the bestest of friends.
1-9-06 Blue Eyed Puppy! This was taken within a few days of us bringing Harley home! He is the best dog in the world and will forever be a part of our family as one of our children! ;)
Only dog-lovers can relate to that!

4-8-06 Silly puppy! Harley loves to go for rides! He wanted to be safe so he sat in Aubrey's car seat! Good boy!!!

Do you like my new hat?

These pics are a little blurry but I still think they're cute!
Jase decided it was much easier to get his drum up the stairs by putting it on his head! Silly Boy!!!

Feeling Better!

Jase had a checkup with his regular Dr. today and he got the all-clear! He said that he is not concerned about anything and he looks great and he doesn't even have to take any more medicine!
We are so happy!! Jase is his normal all-over-the-place self again!! He even feels well enough to get back to work and during this post I even got 7 big KISSES and a pic of it too!!! Thanks sweet boy...Mama loves you!!!

All Better!

Jase is doing much better and the swelling has completely gone away! He just looks like he got punched in the eye now-it's a little red and it's dry but it's basically all gone.....and his fevers are gone too! His nose is still a little goobery but other than that, he is his normal self again!!! Sweet baby! He was such a trooper!
Thanks for all your support! Thanks Grammy Deary for the fun blankey, monkey & froggy-Jase loves them! Thanks Oma and Papa for watching Jase last night while mommy & daddy went out to dinner for some much needed relax-time (it's been very stressful this last week). We appreciate everyones love & thoughts!!!
XOXO

Boys time!

Jase's legs were hurting him since he had to get 2 more shots today so he was not a happy camper. Daddy came down (since I'm working and he has the day off) and gave him some motrin and talked him into going upstairs to watch a movie. So daddy got Kung Fu Panda ready while I made them some popcorn. Here are my sweet boys snuggling on the couch together, even harley had to join in. I'm jealous I couldn't hang with them but someone's gotta work! Jase's eye looks a ton better (compared to yesterday-I won't be posting that pic!), even from this morning. Thanks for snuggling daddy! You're the best!

An infection?

Jase update:
We went to instacare yesterday morning because Jase woke up and couldn't even open his left eye. The Dr. said that it looks to be an infection of the skin around his eye. He said that since Jase has been sick, he is concerned and we need to be very aggressive with it or it could spread behind his eye. He gave him shots of Benedryl and a prescription for an antihistamine and also said to give him liquid Benedryl. He said that we needed to go back again Friday and if he doesn't think there is enough of an improvement, he will send us up to Primary's so that they can do a CT scan to make sure that the infection isn't spreading. By the end of the night, Jase's eye wasn't as purple as it had been and he was able to open his eye a little bit and was acting his normal self-though he didn't go to bed until 10 and he refused to sleep in his own bed so he slept with us all night long.
I am working this morning so Matthew took Jase to instacare and the Dr. says that he is no longer concerned as it looks much better and he doesn't believe that we need to go to Primary's. He asked that we go back again tomorrow so he can look at it one more time and if it has improved again (as it should be with all the antibiotics he's getting) then he won't need to get anymore shots (he got 2 more today). So.....he's getting better....slowly....but better. :)
