Girls Grey's Night!

Keri, Alicia and I have decided to start a Girls Grey's Night! Once a month Bunco just isn't enough! We got together last night for our first one and all cozied up on the couch with our cinnamon rolls (thanks Chris!), shirley temples, cookies and creamies! It was so much fun! We paused it a lot so that we could chit chat and make the night last longer! I put Jase to bed at 7:30 and then drove to Keri's house and got home at about 11 (my hubby missed me!) and I can't wait to do it again! If anyone wants to join us-just let us know! See you next week girlies!!!

Simply Chic Boutique

Come see me! I will be there on Saturday from 12-4pm!

It's happening to fast!

Matthew came in to say goodbye to me this morning as he was leaving for work and the last thing he usually says is "kiss my baby for me" but this morning he said "kiss my BIG BOY baby for me". What! My little man is growing up! Last Tuesday, 2/10, he started climbing out of his crib...before night time was over, during night time and after his night time. Though he knew he could do it, he would usually stay in his bed until after he had had his sleep and then I would hear little tap tap tapping on the door. Like, HELLO MOM! I'm awake now! You can let me out!
He has fallen only once or twice and actually cried b/c it hurt-the other times he just must have had a perfect landing! Monday night, he fell and his foot actually got caught in the slats and he bit his lip and was bleeding and it obviously hurt and I just felt so horrible. I refused to put him back in his crib-what if the same thing happened again or worse? So that night he slept in his playpen. He can still climb out of it but at least it is much lower to the ground.
Last night, Matthew took apart his crib and I brought in Zach's old toddler bed that Kim had given to us. He thought it was so cool and couldn't get enough of it! Those beds are so much fun to jump on you know! I laid in bed with him for about 15 minutes-I just didn't want to leave him in case he wanted to get out of bed but to my surprise, he stayed in there! He woke up around 1 and I went into his room to find him sitting in his rocking chair waiting for me so I rocked him for about a minute and then put him back in bed and left the room and we woke up at 7:40 this morning! Good job buddy! Mommy is so proud of you that you slept in your big boy bed! This weekend, I will be going to get him an actual twin bed frame and mattress or something bigger than just the toddler bed and work my magic on making him a headboard (kids beds are so dang expensive!). Tune in next week for more big boy bed updates! Next step....potty training!

HaPpY vAlEnTiNeS dAy!!

We had such a fabulous Valentines Day!!!! We did everything we wanted to do and it was so much fun! (It helps when your husband has worked over time to make some extra cash for this and when my new CEO gives us an incentive bonus!)
We started off the day by bringing Jase to Oma & Papa's house. Matthew and I then went to Brickhouse Square Retreat (our favorite Spa) for our annual V-day Spa day! We both got manicures and pedicures (thanks mommy deary for the gift certificate from my b-day that I finally used!). Matthew loves pedicures but was worried about getting a manicure for the first time b/c his cuticles are just aweful! Well, he loved it and was not ashamed at all!! They served us sparkling apple cider, cookies, cheese and crackers and chocolate covered strawberries! Mmmm!! After that, we went to Get Some Guns & Ammo and played around in the shooting range with Matthew's XD 45 he got for Xmas! It was lots of fun and I did pretty darn good if I say so myself!
After that, we went and picked Jase up from my moms, went home and rested for a while, and then went out to eat dinner at our favorite restaurant, BoNsAi!! We ran into a couple of people that we knew (Troy & Tami and then Tawnya!) We did have to wait a while but it was so delicious and is ALWAYS worth the wait! We topped the night off with a snuggle on our bed (after Jase went to sleep) and watched Ocean's 13. It was a great day!

Ready, Set, GO!

We bought Jase a potty seat! We are not ready to start training him yet but we wanted to get him the seat so he could get used to it and understand what it is for....so far, he just thinks it's a toy! We'll get there!
Matthew, Jase & Harley were playing Ready, Set, Go the other day! It was so cute! Jase would stand there and squat with his arms flying out behind himself and Matthew would say the words and as soon as he would say "GO!" Jase would take off running into the front room and then come back and start all over again! Harley was 'hopping' around too! Silly boys!

Did you say ROYALTY?!!

Matthew's sister, Miranda, called him last night to tell him that she had been doing some genealogy through an LDS website. She was able to trace back thousands of years of Brownings! It all started through Matthew's Dad's Dad; Grandpa Browning. Apparently, they are related to Dukes, Earls, Princes, Princesses and even along the line...the King of Scotland!!!!! That's right-you heard me! Royalty! Better recognize!!!!

A cheeper alternative!

We took Harley to the vet last night for a check up and to see if they had any suggestions for his foot. He doesn't like to keep the bandage on it. In fact, the past 3 days, we have had to put a new one on at least 7 times! He keeps pulling it off! I'm sure it has just gotten so itchy but even with the cone on his head, he still managed to pull the bandage off! He's just too smart for us! The vet suggested that we use a sock and just put tape at the top to hold it up! At this point-he is not as far along as they would like him to be (since he keeps pulling it off) but he is progressing nicely so we can put something on that is more breathable now. They also gave us some spray to squirt on his foot 3 times a day and some different (and cheaper) medicine that will help with the itchiness. Let's hope this works! So far he hasn't tried to take it off, but then again, he's only been wearing it for 2.5 hours and I've had him locked down in my office with me! He's a trooper though! With the spray-it should heal a little quicker and hopefully he will only have to wear his sock for another week!
Jase decided to try out some new footwear as well today! Silly boy! He can actually walk with these rings around his feet! Super cool dude!

At RAndOm! At RaNDom!

Just a few pics from the past week!

Mollie was crawling around on the floor and talking to herself, when it got quite, I turned around and found her asleep! Silly girl :>
My mom made these letters for me from her die cut machine-I put them on the wall above my computer! Now they aren't on a sticky! Cute huh!!
Just being cheesy!

New fashion trend? In case you don't know how to do this-just pull your arms through the neck of your shirt and shimmy it down until it's around your waist! hehe
