Paint Paint Paint!

That's all I ever do! I just cannot stop! We have lived in our home for just over 3 years and I have painted every room in this house, excluding the laundry room, at least once and have painted my kitchen, kitchen cupboards and my bedroom twice! Hello!!! I just finished painting my bathroom downstairs but I am going to sand it down and paint again b/c there are too many drips (wainscoting is way hard to paint). I think one or two coats will do it!! So no pics of that yet! I also decided a while ago, that I wanted to paint my ugly white metal railings...and I finally did! Whatcha think?

Now they match the rest of the furniture in our house!! I am going to make Matthew put a darker stain on the top wood part but who knows when that will happen!

Birthday Boy!

I no longer have to say Jase's age in months.....my little bug is 2!!!! I just can't believe it! He looks like he's 2 now! He's taller and has a bigger attitude to go with it! Such a cutie! We had such a blast for his Birthday celebration! We had family over for a BBQ! It was our first BBQ at our house since moving in over 3 years ago (thanks for the new grill mom & dad!). It was Handy Manny themed (daddy picked it b/c we all love Manny!). We ate first, then opened presents and then had cake and ice cream! My favorite part of the whole day was when I brought Jase's cake down and we started singing to him. His face just lit up and he was so excited and as soon as I let him, he blew out the candles! I didn't even have to help him do it-he already knew exactly what to do as if he had done it several times before! Then he clapped as soon as he did it and everyone else clapped with him! He was so proud of himself! Good job buddy! Mommy is so proud of you too and we all just love you to pieces!!! Yeah for my big boy!

Grandpa Dave & Grandma Carolyn stayed at our house this weekend! They stayed here from Friday night until Sunday morning to be with Jase for his Birthday weekend then they were off to Denver to visit Ben, Jess & Jack. We really enjoyed having them stay at our house and can't wait for their next visit in 2 weeks when they stop by on their way home from Denver for Zak's graduation. Love you guys and miss you already!!!

Happy Mother's Day & Celtic Woman!!

My mom and I bought tickets back in February to suprise the boys with a concert to go see Celtic Woman! It was perfect because both Matthew's Bday and Mother's Day was on the 10th and my Dad's Bday was the 12th which was the night of the concert! When I finally told Matthew on Monday that we were going to see Celtic Woman he didn't seem terribly excited. He does love the music but didn't think the concert would be very fun.....well, he claims that it was the BEST concert he has ever been to! I knew he would like it! My dad was super excited since he has a video of one of their concerts that he turns on every weekend to listen to while he cleans. His dream was to see them perform in Ireland, but this would do ;)
They were absolutely AmAzInG!!! My favorite was the Violinist. She was incredible! However, my favorite part of the whole concert was at the end (before the encore) when everyone was cheering, my dad (bless his heart) yelled at the top of his lungs Liiiiiiiiissssssssssaaaaaaaaa!!! Liiiiiiiiissssssssssaaaaaaaaa!!! LOLOL She is his favorite of all of them and he just could resist. That's not it, though.....this was soon followed with a rather loud "I'm your Dadyyyy"!! Oh puh-lease! I was very embarassed but it was hilarious!
We couldn't take any pictures during the concert :( But here is one of my fav songs that the violinist did!

Happy Birthday Matthew!!

My hubby turned 26 on May 10th!! We celebrated his birthday on Saturday with a HUGE party! Apparently there's a lot of people out there that like him! It got pretty crowded for a while! It was really good to see so many of our friends that we normally don't-thanks for coming over guys! It was a blast! (sorry for the blurry pictures-stupid camera)

Jase spent half the morning with Oma & Papa and went to Zach & Aubrey's soccer games! I met up with them for the 2nd game and then Jase and I went to Costco and then the grocery store to get some goodies for the party. He was so tired but was such a good boy!

This is the next morning. Mitch & Zach spent the night and then all the boys (including Harley) lounged on the couch and watched tv while I went and got my own Mother's Day breakfast from McDonalds......I'm so sure, right?!!
