Fun in Idaho!

Matthew, Jase & I have been trying to get up to Idaho since Christmas and we finally got it worked out. It was so much fun! We left on Friday afternoon and got there before dark (which rarely happens!). Jase did okay on the way up there. The first time we took him up he was very good and he didn't get upset until we got off the highway into Twin Falls but this time he was upset a good half of the way there. Poor guy woke up with a cold that morning (and this right after he just cut his 4th tooth) so he was not happy with sitting in the car for almost 4 hours. He was a trooper though and after mama sat in back with him for a while he fell asleep. Saturday morning Matthew & his dad got up early to go shoot some cans (I won't allow him to say that he's really going out to shoot rabbits) but there were none to be found :< He still had a great time though! Once they got home, Carolyn and I went out for a girls afternoon! We had lunch and went shopping! That night we visited Carolyn's work-the museum-and got to look at their new Mammoth display. It was huge! We also went down to see the snakes and Matthew attempted to hold one but after he and Carolyn tensed over how to get a hold of it and it snapped at Matthew (it was just a teeny little thing) they decided to give up on that idea. Sunday morning we had a traditional at the cabin huge breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage & some french toast! Matthew and I took turns napping while Dave, Carolyn & Grandpa Hall went to Church. Then we had a steak BBQ. Jase played outside on the grass. He wasn't so sure about it and wouldn't let his hands touch it for too long but he loves being outside so I'm sure he'll get used to it soon enough! Then we went for a nice walk along the bridge and drove around looking at their dream house neighborhoods. Monday morning we had orange rolls...my favorite (normally a holiday) breakfast with them. Matthew, Dave & I went to Sportsmans where Matthew picked out his early Bday gift. After going out for lunch, we left at about 1:15 and Jase slept 3/4's of the way! It was so much fun to have some one on one time with them. It NEVER happens and it is our goal to make it happen more and more often! We love you guys!!!!!

I obviously shouldn't trust Harley with the placement of any of my stuff but I just don't seem to get it right! He decided to eat, yet another pillow! Jase helped him revel in his glorious mess!

No-I didn't put the fluff on Harley-either it was stuck to him or Jase did it and the other piece is hanging out of his mouth!

Silly Boys!

So, I stuffed all the fluff into a garbage bag and put it on top of the dryer for the time being and Jase just wanted it so bad! He had a hard time trying to reach it but he was determined......

My smart little boy climbed up onto his seat and got on his tip toes and yes, he got the bag down and attempted to rip the fluff out of it until I took it away. He got mad. All that hard work for nothing!

Matthew called me yesterday afternoon and asked if I would like to go and see a movie with him later on. We had gone clothes shopping the day before and he wanted to wear them around so everyone can see how trendy he now was! He heard great things about the movie 21 so we took Jase to Kim's house and went to the theater. It was a really good show, actually. I recommend it :> It was fun pretending like we had just started dating and we needed to dress up real nice to try to impress each other! A date night on a Monday was just what we needed! Love you Nuh!

Bunko!

Every month I get together with some girlfriends (mostly Kim's family) to play Bunko! It is so much fun! This month, it was at my house! We ate chicken roll-ups and had some nummy dessert and snacks. We gave out prizes at the end for winners and losers! Thanks for the fun night ladies! Can't wait for next month :>

That's life!

So, it's gross enough when you have to wipe drool from your baby's chin or when you have them hanging above you and a stream of spit comes out of no where and you move your head just in time to narrowly escape having it land in your eye or mouth; but when you go upstairs and are calling your baby's name because you know he is on the other side of that closed door just getting so excited you are almost there to get him and then you throw the door open and run over to his crib and he has the biggest smile on his face and then you lift him up to give him a huge hug and he SNEEZES! Oh c'mon! All I wanted was a snuggle from my well rested little Jasers and instead I got a face-full of snot! Thanks baby! I just couldn't love ya more :> *sigh*

Movie Time!

Jase went to his first movie when he was about 2 months old. We went and saw Ratatouille and he stared at the screen for about 30 minutes and watched it until he fell asleep! Since then, anytime I need a break, I can turn on that movie and he will watch the entire thing! Jase also loves his Baby Signing Time movie. He has even learned a few signs from it. Lately, Jase has found a new movie that he loves....Ice Age! He just loves the little critter with the acorn. He will sit himself in his little bean bag chair and just relax and watch his show...some of it anyways!

Jase decided that it's time for him to walk! He has been slowly taking one step at a time and then falling but today we had about 5 steps in a row! I was able to take some pics and video. Aunty Rella, Uncle Jason & Uncle Zak were there with me and Matthew to witness it! I just can't believe it! I am so proud of him! We believe this was brought on by Uncle Zak's tasty looking cookies :> He just must have really wanted to try them!
Rella & Jason came over to help Matthew fix something on his computer and got to spend some time with Jase (sans twins). Luckily enough-he decided to walk!

A Week of Firsts

Here are just a few cute pics of Jase that I have taken over the past week. He just gets funner and funner everyday! Tuesday, 4/8 Jase took 1 step 3 times!! On Thursday 4/10 he took 3 in a row! Friday, 4/11 Jase had a check up and he is 30 inches tall! That puts him in the 90th percentile! The Dr also discovered that he is getting his 2nd tooth! This one is coming in on the top! Today, 4/13 he decided to show me how smart he is and that he figured that all he has to do to go down the stairs is turn around! He will only go down the first step on his own. Guess I really am going to have to watch him now! It's just too crazy!

Our New Car!

This is our new car! I just love it! I have wanted an SUV for the longest time and new that the day would come soon enough and it finally did! Ever since we sat in Jessica & Jason's new Armada I just loved it....I had to copy! We got the same car as them just in a different color! Isn't it purdy!

Most of the time, when I tubby Jase, I jump in the shower right after and when I do that, Matthew will come and get Jase and dry him off, lotion him up and get his clothes on. I laid out the clothes for him and he put them on.......

......backwards! Um...dad....the buttons and the tag are meant to be in back!

For Sale!!

We are selling our Altima!!! If anyone knows of anyone that is interested....let me know! I have posted it on craigslist and ksl so hopefully we can get rid of it soon. Why are we selling our car you ask? Well........we just bought a new one!!!!! I am not telling you what it is, yet! I have to take photos of it first and then I will post it-hopefully tonight or tomorrow! HOORAY!

Oma bought Zach and Jase matching outfits for Easter and since Zach wore his today I decided to put Jase in his (of course it is for 12-18months but it fits!). He just looks so grown up!
