...and as if that wasn't bad enough

Now Jase's eye is swollen! I have no idea what on earth it could be. He can open his eye halfway but that's it about it. I tried to wipe it down with a warm washcloth but it didn't seem to help much. It's not goopy at all, just red and swollen, so I am thinking that there might just be something stuck in there. I gave him some eye drops that we had from a time when we though he had an eye infection...hopefully they will help. His poor little nose and cheeks are so red-we've been putting petro-carbo on them to keep moisture on it so that it doesn't get too dry.
On a good note, his temp was ONLY 100.1 this morning. :(
Keep my Jasers in your thoughts in hopes that he can get over this bug quickly.

My Poor Sweet Boy

My poor little guy has been sick since Xmas Eve and it's just not going away :( He has had on and off fevers but since Saturday he has just been miserable. He wakes up with fevers in the morning and after his nap and goes to bed with one but for a few hours in between each of his sleeps, for the most part, he seems to be fine and plays and watches his shows and dances. Today has been the worst. He woke up at 5:45 am with a 101 temp so he snuggled with mama and daddy in bed. He finally fell back asleep after daddy left for work at 7ish for about 30 minutes. He ate his breakfast and then watched his shows and danced a little and then came down to snuggle with me until he fell asleep. I went and put him in bed for his nap and he woke up 3 hours later with a temp of 103.5. Bless his heart-he is such a trooper. He was glued to me in my lap for about 2 hours just being sad but requested a tubby (yes, he told me he wanted one!) and managed to dance a little while he was in there playing. That seemed to help. I just feel so bad for him. His nose is so stuffed up and runny and is all sore from being constantly wiped but he is being such a good boy. Matthew and I are even congested now too.
Hopefully we'll get lucky and be sick free for the New Year.....hopefully.

We had such a great Christmas! We got to spend a lot of time with family and friends! Even though Jase was sick for the most part, he still had a great time! Matthew and I opened most of his gifts for him and he had fun playing with them...even Harley liked his new toys!

We went to Grammy Betsy and Grandpa Randy's house last night for the Browning & Telford Christmas party! It was lots of fun to have everyone together since we don't get to be too often. Jase got a super cute Batman outfit for Christmas! He loves it :>

Just Like Papa!

My dad came over the other day to put some vents in my basement so I wouldn't freeze anymore! Jase followed him everywhere! He would pick up anything my dad dropped, as well as dump out any bolts from the packages. Each time my dad would pick up his chair to move it to a different spot, Jase would pick up his stool (he's super strong you know) and follow him! It was the cutest thing ever!

Just Chillin and Jammie Babies!

Once again, my little boy is getting too big! So, lately I have been putting the gate up in the tv room so that he can't go into the kitchen to play with the dog food or into the front room (this is for jase & harley) to mess with my xmas tree ornaments. Jase was playing around while I worked but it got awfully quiet pretty fast one morning. He couldn't have gone far because the gate was up so what was he doing? So I got up and looked in his playroom and there he was, lounging in his beanbag, thumb in mouth, other arm behind his head....just chillin' and watching Toy Story! UMMM...I didn't turn it on! He apparantly went into his playroom, turned on the tv, turned on the VCR and pushed play and sat down to watch his show! Silly boy!

The other day, Addison came to play with us! She and Jase had fun together. When they sat down to watch Polar Express, Jase scooted over right next to her and started playing with her hair! She moved over as far as she could to try and get away and then just ended up letting him do it! It was so adorable! Thanks for playing Addy! Please come back soon :>

What a big boy!

My little boy is getting so big!
This morning, I sat Jase in his chair and gave him his juice while I made his waffle. I went to bring it to him and pull up his sleeves, so as not to get too many stickies all over, and he had already done it! I pulled his sleeves down to see if he would do it again and he did! He grabs them and pulls really hard and makes a cute little grunting noise 'til he gets it over his elbow! So cute!
Then, later on, after we got back from our lunchtime errand, he had taken his shoes off and about 5 minutes later, he walked in and grabbed one of his them and then went upstairs. Well, daddy soon came home and brought him down to me to say hi. His shoe was on! Daddy said he didn't do it so Jase must have done it himself!! Harley could have helped him but we'll never know! Granted they are only velcro but still!!! Good job buddy! Mommy is so proud of you :>
