Island Park

Island Park....need I say more! Best place on earth! Well, that I've been to, anyways! hehe
Every year we get to spend some time (wish it was more often) up at the cabin in Island Park. There is so much to do there but everything is so low key and relaxing! We got up there Friday night so we didn't do much then but Saturday we went into West and visted the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. We got to see 2 bears and 3 wolfs but the kids were more interested in the playground! Grandma got Jase a wild life puzzle and he loves it (this kid is getting better and better with puzzles and this one has 48 pieces! Sorry...had to brag a bit there!). After that, we went and got some pizza for lunch and then headed in to Yellowstone. We saw all of 5 animals. Count 'em folks, 5! hehe The scenery was enough to make it all worth it! We did watch Old Faithful erupt but there was so much steam that we hardly saw any of the actual water. Oh well! Jase got a 'daddy's wolf' toy as well as a moose. Sunday we went and fed the fishies and then went to the tressle. It is a Browning tradition that you must jump off the tressle to become a worthy member of the family. Yes, I've done it and this year, Matthew was hoping that Jase would. I was not thrilled about this, he is only 3, but daddy insisted. Uncle Zak was dangling Jase off the tressle but then Jase, being the smart kid that he is, decided that he was not interrested in being dropped at least 15 feet into 4 feet of water at best. Good boy. Daddy was upset about it but we'll try again next year ;) Jax and Joss (who are 4 1/2 months younger than Jase) were all for it and both are now worthy! Way to go mongs! Daddy jumped several times while mommy snapped away with the camera and also got 12 squito bites on her feet! We drove home Sunday night, making a stop at Jack in the Box, as is tradition. We had such a great time and wish we could go up more often but only get the cabin once a year so we make the most of it! Just wish we could have stayed a little longer! Next year, we'll plan to stay at least 4 days! (mom-this is me scheduling time off!! haha)
Yes...I stole some of these pics from Rella's blog ;)

Kiddos snuggling to watch a movie...this lasted all of 45 seconds.
Checkin out the bears!
Playing in the wolf cave.

Independence Weekend

I think I will go on record and say that this is the funnest 4th of July weekend that I have had for as long as I can remember! We started out the weekend by seeing The Last Airbender on Friday with some friends. Saturday we went to West Fest and let Jase run around and ride all the rides! He loved the cars, motorcycles and ferris wheel (which mommy refuses to join in on). He even got to play with some cute little goats and piggies! I am also surprised to say that Jase got his face painted! He wasn't interested at first but after mommy got hers and he saw that he could get a spider man he let the girl do it! I think he liked that it tickled!
Ferris wheel fun! Mommy is just not brave enough! I think the funnest part of it for Jase was being at the very top when an airplane flew by!
Cool face painting!
Petting the goats!
Sitting in some horrible spinny ride before it started spinning. I did not want to do this but we had 1 ticket left and I didn't want it to be wasted. I had to shut my eyes the entire time but still felt like I was going to vomit. Spinning....is not really my thing.
After that, we went home to relax and then went to my niece Mollie's 2nd Bday party! We had cake, set off some fireworks and enjoyed some s'mores!

The kids loved the sparklers!
Papa and Jake just chillin!
Birthday girl! I just love all of the silly faces this little sassy girl pulls!
Then on Sunday, we had Rella, Jason, Jax & Joss over for a BBQ with pasta, steaks, grilled pineapple and carrot cake, num!! We lit some fireworks and sprinklers for the kiddos but I think we were more interested in them than they were. They just wanted to play!
Running down the driveway!
Monday, we joined Jess, Jason and the kids again and went to the Zoo! The kids were pretty good, up until the end when Jax decided to clobber Joss in the face with a sippy cup....that's brothers for ya!

I love this kid. It's that simple. Despite the fact that he and Jase enjoy beating each other up, I just plain old love him. Can't get enough of him ;)
Joss mong! You can see it in her face-this little girl is up to something! Man she's cute! And she's got uncle Matt wrapped around her finger!
Jasers! If only he had his own big kitty to play with! hehe
Such a fun weekend! Thanks to everyone that helped make it so fabulous!! We love you!

Red Fish Lake

Dad and Carolyn invited us to go camping with them at Red Fish Lake in Idaho! We left on Wednesday night and came home on Saturday. It was so much fun! Jase has been camping before (he was about 2 months old) but we stayed in our friends trailer so sleeping in a tent was a whole new experience for him and even though it was cold, he seemed to really like it! We played in the lake and uncle Mitch even rented a little motor boat and took us for a ride which Jase loved! He kept saying 'Go meeshol go!' (Telling Mitch to go faster). It was warm throughout the day with only a couple hours of rain on our last day. I love relaxing up in the mountains!! Can't wait to go again!
Relaxing in the hammock with daddy (while chewin on some grass) and driving the car with mommy through the campground!

Fathers Day!

Matthew awoke to his 3rd Fathers Day with French toast in bed! Lucky!! He got a movie from each Jase, Harley and myself. He also got to play video games all day long while I went bowling with my parents! We went to a BBQ at Papa John and Ninny's house where the kids ran through the sprinklers and the adults played horseshoes! Matthew is such an awesome dad and Jase just adores him! I couldn't be luckier to have him as my partner in parenting! Nuv ur face, Nu! XOXO
Me and my daddy-o!
Joss-painting a butterfly (notice the green eye make-up....painting the butterfly wasn't enough!) and Jase being silly!
Jax face drying off
Silly boy!
All tuckered out!

Happenings!

On our way to the movies. Matthew picked out my hat....like it? I think I'm gonna put a hot pink and or white ribbon on it instead of the blue and black that's on there now. I also added the flower! Hey-I found it in the mens section! I had to girlie it up!
Went bowling for our anniversary and ran into my childhood friend, Tawnya! Had a blast bowling with her and her friend Matt :) Sooo good to see her!
Baby gob & Jasers!
Snugglebuggin with Jacob and Jase!
Man we are cute! tee hee
Tubby time! Can you see his poor left eye? He had an eye infection and this was the start of it. It got really purple and swollen....antibiotics cleared it right up! Thanks instacare! We caught it this time before it got really bad like last time. Hope it's not a yearly thing....
Mollie and Jase watching the dancers at Skye's recital. They danced for a while and then Jase wanted to be a booger and run around everywhere. I was nice about it until he decided to stomp on Mollies bare feet (on purpose). We left right after that one. He was crying on the way back to the car "Jase sit down mommy, I sorry, Jase sit down!" Too late buddy! At least we got to watch Aubrey dance before we had to leave!
Awe! Kissing cousins!
This is how we usually pose. Jase has to hold something, a toy or his 'peace' sign, in front of his face. Funny boy!

HaPpY aNnIvErSaRy!!

Matthew and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on June 4th, 2010!!
I remember the first day we met in 2002. We were at John and Cindy's house (our bro in laws parents). I went there with my brother and he went there with his sister. I was doing a puzzle and he came in to the room with a little bit of awkward small talk. I remember thinking how gorgeous he was and that he was such a 'bad boy'. He had the hottest facial hair! hehe Anyways, John and Cindy had BBQs every Sunday at their house so the following week (Easter Sunday), I asked Jeff if I could tag along again and to my excitement, Matthew was there again, too! We all were sitting down watching TV and I remember sitting on the floor next to the chair he was sitting b/c I wanted to be as close to him as I could get! I had my arm up on his footrest and everything! (I'm giddy just thinking about it!!!). I kept looking over at his sister Jessica and her sis in law Ceason and they kept looking at me and him and winking and mouthing the words 'he's cute huh!'. Little did I know, when I wasn't looking, they were doing the same thing to him! The next day I called Ceason and said "So tell me about this Matt kid". She got so excited and said "He's going to ask you out!!" I couldn't believe it! I thought he was way too cute for me! Apparantly he had done the same thing himself and so Ceason gave him my number. He called me 5 minutes later! I acted all cool and like I didn't remember him (and he believed me) and then told him I was kidding and we ended up going out that very night! He came and picked me up in Jessica's xTerra which I was so excited about (it was the very car I wanted in those days). I told him right then and there that he did not have to be a gentleman and open my door for me, that I was a big girl and I could tell that he was super relieved! He did not seem like the kind of guy to do that! Anyways, we went to dinner at Giovannis (Italian restaurant no longer there) and got to know each other. We hit it off right away! After that we went to Jessica's house and hung out with her and Jason for a while and then we all went to the movies. It was some Dennis Quaid movie about baseball (don't quite remember the name). I knew I would be with this man forever when he sang "build me up buttercup" while we were driving around. I was in heaven! This guy was great looking, had fabulous facial hair ;) and could sing! That was it! I was happy! ...and we've been with each other everyday since! So....I would like to give a special thanks to my Jeffrey, my Ceason and my Jessica for bringing us together! We love you!
Our Anniversary date was a blast! We started the morning by dropping Jase off at my sisters house. Then went and got Fijian massages (they walked all over us, literally!). Then we had lunch at La Puente. Went home and checked movie times and ended up seeing Robin Hood! Awesome movie btw. Then we went to Bonsai for dinner and ended the night with a few games of bowling where I bumped into my childhood friend, Tawnya! We got a lane next to theirs and chatted the night away. It was such an incredible day!
I love you, husband! You mean the world to me and I couldn't live this life without you! Love ur face nu!

Just like daddy!

(Don't worry-it was just a rub on from a toy machine!)
